A beautiful garden located just beside the bustling Melbourne CBD area. It is called Fitzroy Garden and some people refer it as Treasury Garden as the Melbourne’s Government Treasury building is just a stone’s throw away.

Love the trees during winter.

There are a lot of lavenders planted in this park.

You can find James Cook’s cottage in this garden. For your information, James Cook was a British explorer, navigator and cartographer, ultimately rising to the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy. Cook made detailed maps of Newfoundland prior to making three voyages to the Pacific Ocean during which he achieved the first European contact with the eastern coastline of Australia. (Wikipedia)
