Was dishearten when the box is opened. There are so many things in there. Most of the black ones are for the horse. Spent approximately one hour and fifteen minutes building it (excluding the horse).

I like the wings. It makes Cao Cao look more elegant. Even the color prior to painting is very nice. However, with the wings and everything at his back, unfortunately Cao Cao cannot stand. His backpack is too heavy.

Did not have a time today to build the horse, so we’ll share the picture from the box. It looks nice, isn’t it? And also it comes with a red transparent stand too…

I will share some pictures which were taken on the catwalk. I hope enjoy it. I myself enjoy the ambience of the event, however for me the fashion was not very stunning. I was expecting more of the dresses which people could wear for Cup day (horse racing) in November, but most of the fashion shown is casual type.

The above picture is the stage where the models performed their catwalk. I took a close up look of the accessories of the stage decoration.

The last one looks very elegant, you can wear this kind of dress to formal event and also semi casual event. Markurius said that he saw bruises on this model’s leg.

How an earthquake is measured in this modern era.

Many people think green tea has a wide range of health benefits, especially for its role as a strong anti-oxidant  to curb cancerous cells at bay. Another benefit that people commonly perceived is to reduce blood LDL (bad cholesterol) level.

A report published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has compiled and analysed data from various research work on green tea. The compiled data showed that the effect of drinking green tea regularly in reducing LDL level is minimal. Overall, the LDL level only dropped by 2.2 mg per decilitre, a fall of just 2%. In addition, excessive drinking of green tea may cause interference with medications such as anticoagulants and the cancer drug bortezomib, the report says.

The bottom line is that green tea may help in reducing bad cholesterol level in blood but the effect is not significant.

I’ve been wondering for quite some time about this – there are a lot of shops selling opal in Melbourne CBD area. I just found out that opal is the national gem for Australia.

Australia has the largest opal fields in the world, so large that it is bigger than those found in the rest of the world combined. Australian opals are valued for their stability as well as brilliance. Opals from other countries are associated with volcanic rock and have high water content and tend to crack or craze during cutting or polishing, or during hot or dry conditions.

Australia’s precious opals include black opal, white opal, crystal opal, fire opal and boulder opal.

Census collector’s main jobs are:-

• Handing out census form
• Assist people with the completion of census
• Collecting census form

Do you have to complete the census form? Yes, it is compulsory. If you refuse, you may be fined $110 per day. So you have better complete your census form or complete one online, if you do not want to be fined. Our area supervisor dislikes  us, the census collectors mentioning about the fine, as she prefers the people to understand the benefit of census itself. Do not worry about the privacy issue, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is bound by the privacy act, ABS is not sharing any information with any other government bodies such as ATO or DIMIA etc. I have also signed my contract and I am bound by the privacy act even after my employment is terminated (i.e. end of census).

Every census collector has been given a yellow bag and has been issued an identity card. These two items have to be brought when we are on duty. They are to be returned at the end of the employment. This way it should be easy for you to spot a census collector.

I have been assigned a very dense area and my area supervisor has been emphasising to me that I have got the biggest workload in our team. But the weird thing is I am the only full time worker in the team. The others are retirees, university students and self-employed people.

I am really looking forward it. I will commence my first door knocking this Thursday, after 6pm of course. I will share interesting thing about the process. I have never done marketing/sales before but this will be my first one. Promoting census and persuading people to partake in the census is marketing. The reason I accept this job is because I want to improve my self-confidence and persuasion skill. So, for sure I won’t use the fine of $110 per day as a threat for people to complete the census.

Watch out for me, I might be outside your house knocking at your door.
