This is my first breakfast which was cooked by our author Markuri. Simple and not too much for breakie.
With the bacon, we prefer to put them in oven for approximately 7-10 minutes. I like it when the the bacon is crunchy. I myself prefer oven rather than pan-fry. After cooked, I used paper towel to absorb the oil. I love this breakfast, as I am a big fan of bacon!!! So now, any idea what to have for tomorrow breakfast?
Phew… what a busy week I had last week. Sorry guys and gals for not updating my blog for a while. A couple of family members of bunny (aka second author of this blog) came to Melbourne and I had to joined them exploring the city. The good thing was I enjoyed lots of good foods (and not to mention the cholesterol).

Taking some short break from cooking, but my mind is still brainstorming for menu to cook for the coming week. Yay!!! it is public holiday, so I have more time to spend on cooking. This time, cooking has become a harder thing because we now have additional one person in our household. So I am now catering for four people including myself.
After a long thought, I decided to cook nasi lemak. So stay tuned for the recipe.
I don’t exactly know why the soup is called ABC Soup but may be because this soup was pretty simple to be cooked.
We have finally run out of ideas of what to cook. So, we decided to have an easy one, home made burger. The preparation time is only about 15-20 minutes.
It is not very photogenic but it does taste nice. We got the minced beef and buns from Costco and lettuce, tomatoes and cheese from Safeway.
For those of you who wonder about “Nasi Padang” in this post, I just had it for dinner with my friends. There are a couple of places in Singapore you can enjoy original “Nasi Padang”. As long as the restaurant name is in Indonesian and it is cooked by Indonesian, then I can guarantee that you will say “marvelous” after you finished the meal.

This is what I had for dinner. I chose spicy chicken, spinach and jackfruit curry as the dishes. The rice was covered with curry gravy. I had it at Lucky Plaza at Orchard Road.
One of my favourite soup. So I am going to share the recipe with you. If you do not have time to grate the corns, you can buy the creamed corn in a can and frozen corn kernels. My mom would shred the chicken if she cooks this. But as for me, I do not shred my chicken, as the preparation time will be longer.
It has been years since I last ate my mom’s braised pork belly. I missed this food so much. I can hardly find a place in Melbourne which sells this dish. Most of them only have braised beef. So I decided to make my own. This is a popular dish in Taiwan. There are many versions for this dish, some people like it dark, while my family prefer a light color.
Today, I had egg omelette with a bottle of Tsingtao beer for lunch. Tsingtao beer is a light beer made in China. Tsingtao literally means green island 青島. I am not too sure how beers are brewed, so I am not going to discuss further about the beer. Instead, I would like to share egg omelette recipe which I cooked for my lunch.
